Our collection is rich in fiction though, we lack material that gives them information on broader topics. If the books they get help them in cross-cultural communication and understanding their own culture and society well, that will be an added advantage.

Getting books to children in Nepal

"Getting books to children in Nepal is hampered by the fact that it's a land-locked country and therefore doesn't have shipping. Books need to be sent via airmail, which is expensive. This initiative is a great idea for getting much needed books to Nepal without this prohibitive cost. I have personally seen the great joy on the faces of children when books are delivered. Teachers and children value the books highly and they are used a great deal. This is a great way to help Nepal recover from its earthquake disaster."
